Fira de Montjüic
The Fira de Montjüic is one of the world’s most emblematic urban venues: Built in 1929 to house the International Exhibition it combines tradition with an infrastructure that can be adapted to all types of modern events.
Centrally located in Barcelona it can be easily accessible from the airport and has great public transport connectiosn to all areas of the city. Situated in the privileged setting of Montjuïc park, which also includes green zones, the Olympic stadium and cultural buildings, such as the Museu Nacional d’Art de Catalunya (MNAC).
The eight halls at Fira de Montjüic cover 115,000 square meters of exhibit space. One of them, the Palau de Congressos de Barcelona, has an auditorium for 1,650 people and 11 conference rooms with a total capacity for over 2,900 people, in addition to over 5,800 square meters of exhibit space. Fira Montjuic Barcelona also has 50,000 square meters of outdoor space for events. Not just for large scale events, this is one of the Barcelona meeting facilities that can also be easily adapted to host smaller meeting and events.
In total Fira de Montjüic has a total of 165,000m2 of exhibition floor space, with 50,000m2 outdoors. It used to be the home of the Mobile World Congress before this moved up the road to Fira Gran Via, however it is still home to many landmark shows such as the International Motor Show and Sonar,
